1.
The toils of this life's anxious fires Its oiled well spreads flame across the land to purify works every time awash one's self and flood this charred ground This is the age unweave the veil Drown in the lights I've seen the same that you despise I feel the shame with what they sow branching out What's in the nature of your saviour what's in her eyes that you've seen Confess these notions that feel serene wont betray, her secrets she'll always conceal what's in the ocean that can't be seen beneath the waves that you'll never reveal She'll cleanse my soul, to make me new I am again, now sail myself ashore ...She is the ocean The tide will rise intoxicating me the moon she's high drown me now Confess these notions that feel serene wont betray, her secrets she'll always conceal what's in the ocean that can't be seen beneath the waves that you'll never reveal We are the old, we are the new, we are the same but stronger than before
2.
What's in this life less is all I see led by lies Lo and behold watching madness in wry there's no real eyes, to wake and realise Why strive? For loss of life, space and time This sink or swim society is upon us Crushing you through, crushing you every time wash it in lies smoke its disguise Why strive? For loss of life, space and time This sink or swim society is upon us Try your deed in tragedy Those who would perceive drown in self-esteem undiluted belief entitled to a dream In their minds they'll define the storm this chaos will come raining down
3.
A picture of the night dark thoughts come flowing through you can see figurations of light The blind revelation I'd say you've improved your sight you can feel the pyre alight Inane, what's on your mind you'll see it if only once, shed it out What's in this world that you cannot perceive don't need reasons who won't believe its always been but didn't foresee once you've seen it you know it can be Scry, through the frame of your mind escape this ignorance trust yourself but instead you look into the skies In this picture of the night beckons us to look through with retaliation I try to beat them too when you eyes align you'll wish you lost your sight focus, expose what's in the lies you found What's in this world that you cannot perceive don't need reasons who won't believe its always been but didn't foresee once you've seen it you know it can be Look into yourself and trust Scry, through the frame of your mind escape this ignorance trust yourself but instead you look into the skies Look into the skies, the skies
4.
Rise into your fires your dark caress incantations into my weary mind and now my flesh comes crawling too I was blind in my eyes withstand an age my roots in soil why in my need its yet time I see her face a thousand times through pages of dust and twine her dried leaf tears stain on the land ingrained in my own hand Why have you awoken me to walk hot coals across the land Why have you forsaken me to join the legions of the damned Its on frayed edges of what you've seen but the lies keep feigning truth Against the surges but your life keeps flowing through I see her face a thousand times through pages of worlds decline her sun dried tears wash on the shores absorbed in the sands of time Why have you awoken me to walk hot coals across the land Why have you forsaken me to join the legions of the damned My eyes rescind this age that's been I cannot see a place for me I'll leave it all to oblivion The ancient ways precede a bygone amenity it all becomes too much for me Unburden me the time has come scatter my ashes beneath this sun's glare it bears witness to what I've become the struggle subdues as I am undone

about

The British pagan doom band Elderseer are a relatively new presence, having come together in 2017 and with only a single record to their name so far — an EP entitled Bind Us As One that was released at the end of 2018. But that first EP was more of a giant assured step than a halting, timid feeling of a way forward. It drew considerable praise in the metal press, and in its varying stylistic dimensions it spawned references to the likes of My Silent Wake, Primordial, My Dying Bride, and Amorphis. It is an anguished plea, a cry from the bleeding heart of the land, a glimpse of the ancient powers that reside there, and embodies “the soul of Elderseer – captives of modern society yet yearning for the hillsides and forests".
NO CLEAN SINGING

The sound of the sea and the feedback of the guitars are premonitory elements of the sound of these Britons. Yes, you are thinking the same as us - doom metal. Blackened but melodic and slow but intense, the Elderseers are a beautiful catalyst for lonely and sorry moments, those 10 minutes that we need to put ideas in place and to get away from the outside. “Bind Us as One” is an excellent gateway for those who have just discovered this quartet.
METAL HAMMER PORTUGAL

A doom pagan metal band, that automatically gets my thumbs up, incorporating Celtic and Slavic influences, double thumbs up. I do like this sort of band and Elderseer do it particularly well. Big doomy riffs subtly entwine with folk to produce a wonderfully knot worked weave of desolation. With influences of bands such as Anathema and Woods of Ypres obvious in their style I also felt there was a touch of Amorphis about them, and I love Amorphis.
UBER ROCK

ELDERSEER dark-smoke, horror-dream — Very muddy and moody, their tangled compositions are pierced with bible-black openings, through which boiled incandescent guitars. For creations smoked with melancholy, this band couldn’t be bettered.
METAL AS RELIGION

Elderseer - Purveyors of pagan doom hailing from the UK: immerse yourself in there lugubrious and haunting sound!
Elderseer - heavy, crushing, soul-bursting doom from The Island of Gloom itself!
JON PHIPPS METAL ORCHESTRAL

Elderseer's debut EP Bind Us as One is a powerful statement of intent from a new band in the UK Doom scene. They know how to growl, drone, and riff but they also know how to rock you. They are a tight, lean and mean unit that you'd think had been playing together for years from listening to this. One of the criticisms that has been made of Doom is that it can be too ponderous and inward-looking as a genre but that is not the case with Elderseer. Having seen them live, I can attest to the fact these guys want your attention and they definitely deserve it.
